The hotel is conveniently located near Telegraph and Piedmont Avenues, close to MacArthur Bart station, downtown, and Berkeley. The rooms are comfortable with plenty of amenities, but some aspects like dirty towels and tripping floorboards could be improved. The service was efficient overall, but incidents like improper charges may occur. The location, though initially appearing shady, is actually convenient for transportation around the area.

My stay at this hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, although a bit small, were comfortable and had plenty of amenities. The service was a bit of a rollercoaster with an incident of being woken up at 3 am by loud shouting but was overall very helpful, informative, and friendly during the stay. The location was the initial draw for me, although initially concerning, it was on the border of a nice area with good dining options, but the neighborhood had issues with homeless camps. Dining options at Mama's Royal Cafe were enjoyable despite the limited organic vegetable choices. The facilities were adequate, but could use some improvements.
